estate distribution

in the event of a medical malpractice wrongful death settlement, as the administrator of estate how do i set up an account for the settlement check? can it be deposited into my personal account or do i have to get an attorney to set up an estate account? its only 1 issue entitled daughter, she was 16 when the lawsuit was brought shes now 19 at the time she signed a waiver to consent to probate what can i do???
