Once an estate is in its final process does the attorney have a time limited in distribution of funds.

There is no specific time limit. Funds should/could be distributed as quickly as possible when the estate is over. Time concerns may depend upon unresolved issues, such as tax returns not yet finalized, liquidation of assets, etc. More information is necessary for more than a general answer.
