estate of parent /no will

mom registers and has title for 3 cars in her name. Mom dies. Are these vehicles part of her estate and should be divided between the heirs? We are 3 children/administrators of the estate. 2 cars are registered in ny. 1 car is registered in ct.

Yes, the cars are part of your mother's estate. You can visit the DMV website for the basic forms relating to title transfers from a decedent's estate.
