Can my Executor be my Beneficiary

I would like to make my girlfriend the Executor of my Will plus be my Beneficiary at the same time. Is this possible in New York State.

No problem. It is ok in every state. This is not a 'conflict-of-interest' situation.

If you need an attorney to review your documents, i would be happy to make myself available.

Re: Can my Executor be my Beneficiary

Yes, and this is frequently the case. All you need to do is prepare a Will naming her in both capacities. One caution, what happens if the relationship does not work out? You will have to change or redo your Will if that happens. I suggest putting a clause in your Will which describes under what circumstances she inherits and is executor, and, if the relation has terminated, you provide alternatives. If you need assistance, contact me directly.
