When the executor of an estate receives money for a third party mentioned in a will, what is the time limit for that executor to give the money to the third party.

It depends what still needs to be done regarding the estate. There is no set time period for making a distribution, but a "reasonable" amount of time is the usual limit. Things like taxes, liquidation of assets, debt payments, can all back up making a distribution.
