I am a co executor of my father's estate. We finally received the closing letter from NYS about 6 weeks ago. How long do we have to wait to get our money?

As co-executor you and your other co-executor should be processing the distributions, or through your attorney. Who has the funds and will be handling the distributions? More information is needed.
