Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Executor misappropriation of funds and wrongdoing

Myself and 15 others were left money from a deceadent in a will. We believe the executor of the the will has stolen money from the estate before filing her accounting to the lawyer handling the estate. The executor also sent out checks from the estate to 3 persons for 5,000. This action was never in the deceadents will nor was the money accounted for in the executors accounting. The 3 persons were in the will, but were the executors friends. We believe the executor stole between 75,000. and 150,000. dollars from the estate before doing the accounting. What do I do? Call the state police, hire an attorney and ask for an accounting, call the lawyer handling the estate, or what?
