Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
My father passed away Oct 30th.
Do the 2 adult children have any legal rights to the fathers affairs?
Father married 6 months before he died. No WILL- Lived in New York City. My father was the Executor to cousins estate that has not been settled yet. What do we do? Thank You, gm

You need a New York probate attorney to look at this question. Try reposting your question and specifying you need a New York State attorney to answer.

If your father died without a will, the laws of New York apply which sill provide the wife with a certain portion of your father's estate, and the rest will go to his children.
A new executor would have to be appointed for the cousin.
