Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

My father recently died on 10/11 he had 3 farms which he left all to my brother. The rest of the assets where to be divided between him & I & a third brother. At the time of death there was a savings account with a balance in it that part was taken to pay for the taxes on the 3 farms due on 10/15. He is the executor & took the money from the saving account to pay the taxes. Seeing that the property is really his is it not his responsibility to pay these on his own & not from the estate funds left to all three of us? Please advise

Generally, you would have to look toward the language in the will.
