Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

My fiance' pass away a month before his divorce was finale from his ex wife,they both sign the divorce papers but she filed and kicked him out the house...she want and stop the divorce..his ex wife is now collecting his pension....he has six kids two with me and four with her..i was told that the youngest child can recieve his pension..is that true..how long can she collect...is it by the number of years they were married..

The pension should be paid to the beneficiary listed.
