Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
I am trying to find a way to save our home. My mother recently had a stroke and is in hospice care, I do have power of attorney. She never made a will or did estate planning. Our home still has a mortgage and my name can not be added at this time. I am not sure what I can do but I do not want to lose this house to the state.
What can I do?

You better see a lawyer asap. Do not do anything at all until you get legal advice, because there are special rules regarding homes.
I am sorry to hear about your mom. I hope you can find peace and everything works out for you.
Good luck,
