Gave up parental rights
A man has a will written prior to allowing a child to be legally adopted by her mothers new husband stating that she is to get nothing. If he passes away without making a new will can the child contest a will in NYS?

The child may contest the will in the location where the will is being admitted to probate so long as there are grounds to contest the will. Generally, grounds are undue influence, fraud, incapacity and illegality.
