Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
Hi, my grandmother past away a couple of months ago and she left my money and my uncles name because she was afraid that my school would take all of it. Now that phase is over, and I want my money and my uncle refuses to give it to me, what can I do?

Your question cannot be answered without a review of your grnadmother's will.
I agree with Rudolf, unless the account registration is different. For example, if the Will just leaves it to him, without specifying he is to hold it for you, like a trustee, or the account had his name on it, without naming you also, he may have a legal claim even if your grandmother intended something different. This may require litigation and you might have an uphill battle if the purpose cannot clearly be established. This is a response to an Internet question and the reply is not intended to be legal advice or as creating an attorney-client relationship.
