Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
Guardianship of a person
My daughter is incapacitated. When she turned 18 I went to court to get guardianship of her as a person. They gave me co-guardianship. I want to appeal the decision. Can I make the appeal myself or am I forced to hire a laywer? I really don't have the money for an attorney and would like to do it myself.

Re: Guardianship of a person
You can do it yourself, but its both procedurally complicated (time limiations, and how to do it generally) and depending on the legal issues you might be better off paying someone who knows what they are doing. It depends how important it is to you.
