Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
Hi,
I was in an accident when I was a kid and a court appointed trust was put in place, unfortunately both my parents have passed and are living overseas in Ireland so have no access to information to track it down.
I think I might have found the court records (well a brief description) what I am wondering is how to track down the records and if they could help me. This was in the 1980s in NY.
The record I have found only give brief description of date index number, plaintiff and defendant, im not even sure how to access there ss numbers.
Any help would be greatly aprreciated

Court records can be obtained from the courthouse in which the proceeding was done. I am assuming that the matter was litigated in New York State Supreme Court. The county clerk in that county will maintain the records. Just go to the county clerk's office and requisition the file, or have someone (an attorney perhaps) do that on your behalf.
Good luck to you.
