as executor how much should I charge the estate per hour?

As Executor, unless the Will specifies otherwise, you are entitled to be paid a commission based on asset values, not time expended. This commission schedule is available at the Surrogate's web site. You need not charge the full commission, and can charge any reasonable fee, as long as it is less than the statutory allowance. There is no set hourly rate.
