Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

House Contents Willed to One Sibling

Mom left house and all its contents in a will to one child. There are six children in family. All but two of the children are agreeable to will. One sibling feels entitled to ''possessions'' that have been at parents house for many years and is claiming they are his. If will says ''house contents'' all to go to the one sibling, does the other sibling have a right to any of the houses contents?

Re: House Contents Willed to One Sibling

Without reading the will it is hard to determine the testator's intent. However, based on the facts you presented in your question, if the will states that entire house contents go to "X", then "X" should receive the entire house contents.
