Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
Husbands death-pre-nuptial agreement
I married 7 yrs. ago with a pre nuptial agreement thinking that is all I needed to assure the contents. My husband died and I was not in the will for any cash that was promised only the apartment which was half mine anyway. Can this be contested? His lawyer is in NY where we have a residence , his primary and we lived in NC , my primary. We did live together for 7 years upon his death. Thank you

Re: Husbands death-pre-nuptial agreement
If he died while a NY resident you are entitled, as a surviving spouse, to $50,000 plus one-half of his estate.
