Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
Information on estate
My sister who is also an attorney helped draw up a will for my dying mother. My mom never signed it. My sister was then appointed administrator of my mom's estate. She refuses to give us any info. This has gone on for a year now. She states her obligation is to the estate and I am not entitled to any info. What can I do?

Re: Information on estate
As a distributee of the estate, you have the right to compel the Administrator to file an accounting of her acts with the court. I suggest that you contact an attorney to assist you as compulsory accounting proceedings may be complicated. If you wish, you may call me to discuss your matter in more depth.
