Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

I was the legal guardian of my my Mother who passed away 6 years ago. There are no outstanding debts other than NY State Medicaid. Currently, there is an estate account which I am the holder of the account. It has been 6 years as I mentioned what are the statute of limitations for Medicaid collections of debt?

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mom.

It's possible the statute of limitations in this scenario is six years. Proceed cautiously. I'm not exactly certain what you mean: "there is an estate account which I am the holder . . .." Were you appointed as executor of mom's estate? How much money is at stake? There's a lot to consider, more than can be discussed in email.
