I receive a citation on June 4 to appear in court on June 19 and I am still looking for a lawyer to represent me, can I ask the Judge to postpone the hearing to a later date because I am still seeking legal representation

You can ask but the judge is not required to allow it. What type of case? Where is it? Maybe we can be of some assistance.
