how long should it take to transfer property deeds from a deceased floridian with property in new york,

to co owner in new york? executor is in florida

The co-owner of the jointly owned property may deed the property to himself and record the new deed.

Usually not long, but estate could be tied up due to tax or other issues. Of course, depending on how the original Deed is written, this may be automatic and a new Deed may not be needed. I would need to see a copy of original Deed to provide a better response.
