Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
I was married to my first wife August 1981 - Sept 1983 (divorced). Last had contact 1984. I found through google search and other online sites that....She passed away March of 2008. Her body was unclaimed by any relative or friend. Her remains are
buried on Hart Island (Potters Field) NY. She raised in a Foster Home , had 6 Foster Bros & Sisters.
My question since I have the marriage certificate , divorce decree , a copy of her birth certificate, 1981 Joint Tax return, can I
obtain her death certificate , autopsy report being an ex-spouse since no one claimed her remains. May want to move remains in the future .
