my mother passed away last month and her brother said that she had a will but her boyfriend said that she didn't how can i find out if she did

It doesn't really matter. As the child you stand to inherit her estate without a will. A will could conceivably leave you without an inheritance. You need to contact an attorney to determine how to proceed.
