NY lawyer practicing in NJ

Can a NY lawyer with a specialty in probate law represent a client who's a beneficiary of a will where the decedent was a resident of NJ, and a competing will has been presented for probate in a NJ Surrogate court?

Re: NY lawyer practicing in NJ

A NY lawyer, not licensed to practice in NJ, can help, but cannot appear in NJ Courts unless approved by the Court, and will probably need a NJ lawyer to sponsor him. You have not presented sufficient facts about what the issues are, which I presume have to do with differences in content. More facts are needed for a better response, other than your immediate question. Contact me directly if you need further information.
