Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

NY state will

I just received notice for my father's will to be probated from my stepmother's lawyer. Enclosed was a copy of his Last Will and Testament. The pages were not initialed, there was only notarized signatures on the last page. Is it a law in NY state that all the pages of the will are initialed?

Re: NY state will

The pages of a will do not need to be initialed in NY. A will must be witnessed by at least two competent witnesses in accordance with the EPTL.

If the will is not executed by the testator and witnessed properly it is not a valid will in NY.
