Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

obtaining a copy of my fathers will

It has come to my knowledge that my father had a will drafted in 2002. Even though there was a subseequent will and the 2002 will is not longer valid the attorney who drafted it will not provide me with a copy. He says I need to subpoena it. Is this true and i so can i do it myself or do I need an attorney. I reside in ny state

Re: obtaining a copy of my fathers will

You are not entitled to an old copy of a revoked will from your fathers attorney because, 1. it is no longer valid, and 2. you are not his client.
