Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
My parents left me money in trust until i am 55. The money is (managed?) by my brother who has provided me with very little information about this trust in regards to balance interest and tax implications.I make requests for money which he has granted on occassion to meet my basic needs at times. Now after two years he is telling me that i must submit written proof for any needs i might have and he will pay them directly IF he deems them neccessary, do I have any rights?

Your rights are spelled out in the trust agreement. As a beneficiar;y, you are entitled to know how it is being managed.
Plus, you are entitled to have a copy of the trust agreement itself. I suggest you request a copy of the agreement and an outline of its investments held for you. Then, have it reviewed by an attorney familiar with trust law to provide you guidence on how to act.
