power of attorney

I live in new york state and have had power of attorney for my 89 year old mother for 3 years..2 days ago my brother flew in and under the pretense of taking our mother to lunch took her to a law firm and had another power of attorney done naming him..is mine still valid?

It depends on the terms of the new Power of Attorney (does it revoke any priors?). Also, does your mother have the capacity to sign a new POA?

You may be able to have it set aside for competancy reasons.
