Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
Hello, my question is that of a legal matter involving my grandmother's will, is this a binding contract or can I override her last personal decisions as administrator of her will? I am also legally her daughter, and have full deeded rights. Thank you for your answers.

You are talking about a Will challenge. Such a challenge can be costly and not worth the effort is the goal is less than the monetary cost.

If you are appointed the executor of your grandmother's Will, then you are bound to execute the terms of the will as admitted to probate. An executor cannot override the terms of a decedent's Will and substitute her own directives.
