When the executor fails to provide an accounting, after a reasonable time has passed, you can petition the Surrogate to compel an accounting. The complexity or simplicity of the estate impacts what is a reasonable time. I suggest writing the executor and asking for the status of the estate and when an accounting is to be issued. This presumes you are an estate beneficiary entitled to receive an accounting.
