Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Selling a house

My parents are both deceased. My dad two years ago and my mother just recently and I lived with them. My question is in their Will they wanted the house sold and split between myself, my sister and brother and I wanted to know how long can I legally hold the house before it has to be sold?

Once the Will is admitted to probate and an executor is appointed, the house can be sold. If you wish to stay in the house, you should consider buying your sister's and brother's shares.
