Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
What am I signing?
My cousin asked me to sign an affidavit that he is the only child, (which he is), in order to get his inheritence from his deceased mother. Never heard of such a thing. Is this all it is?

Yes, it is an affidavit of heirship. His Mother must have passed without a will. The court requires it.
