In the State of New York what would be the percent the executor would be paid?

Unless a will states otherwise, the executor is entitled to payment. Fees vary by state, and they can add up: In New York, they are 5% on the first $100,000 of the estate, 4% on the next $200,000, 3% on the next $700,000, 2.5% on the next $4 million, and 2% on the rest. On a $10 million estate, that comes to $234,000.
