What is the statute of limitations for creditors to file a claim against an estate?

A creditor has 7 months from the date the Court appoints an executor/administrator to file a claim against an estate.

I concur, but suggest not waiting until last minute. Information on who to notify is available from the Surrogate's Office, if a formal Notice Limiting Creditors has not been publicized, which gives contact information.
