transferring home ownership to children
If my mother transferrs her home ownership to her children before 3 years prior to entering a nursing home, will the property she gives us attach itself to our own property, Would we as the children be responsible to pay the nursing home?

Not clear on what you mean by "attaching itself to our own property" -- once the transfer is complete it IS your property. I think you are refering to the medicaid look-back period which is 3 years.
