Type your question here...IF A PERSON IS ENCARERATED AND IS GIVING POWER OF ATTORNEY TO SOMEONE OUT OFJAIL, DO WE PUT THE ADDRESS OF THE JAIL OR THE ADDRESS WHERE THE PERSON LIVED WHEN THEY WERE FREE AS THEIR ADDRESS.

It really does not matter. However, I would place the address of the jail.

I agree with Mike, but if the sentence is short-term and to prevent embarrassment after release, and presuming POA will last after release, I would use actual home address. It might be good, as an alternative, to list both addresses, indicating one (jail) is temporary and one (home) is permanent.
