Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

WHich would be upheld upon death? A will leaving assets to the spouse? or the subsequent divorce decree stating neither party shall make clain to the others estate. No new will has been drafted.

The divorce decree. Seen in another way, once an individual is divorced he or she is not a spouse.
