Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
Waiver of Process Consent to Probate
I recently received a Waiver of Process Consent to Probate form in connection with my mother's will. A copy of the will was not included in the mailing. I have not seen the will nor has it been read to me. Should I sign and return the form or should I request a copy of the will before signing? Also isn't it common practice for the family to read the will before opening it to probate?

You should ask the lawyer that sent the waiver for a copy of the will.
Mike.
