if my wife dies as the spouse

is her will void because she drew it before we were married in new york?

A properly drawn and executed Will is valid, despite subsequent events like a marriage. However, if her spouse is not provided for in the document, he has rights by statute that take precedence over the Will (presuming there is no pre-marital or post-marital agreement to the contrary.
