Yes, it's preferable to name all of the children in a will(even if the bequest is only $1), so no argument may later be made that the decedent may have inadvertently omitted one or more of them as beneficiaries and did not intentionally exclude any one of them from the will.

I agree that it is a good idea to name all of the children in a Will particularly if you are disinheriting one or more of them. I do not think it advisable to bequeath a nominal sum of $1 because of the difficulty in obtaining a receipt for the bequest.
