Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Can will be disputed?

I am one of three adult children. My mother has chosen to cut me out of her will because of an abuse issue in the family. The other two adult children who I believe are still in her will are as follows:

My sister, who suffers from a chemical imbalance, and is currently collecting SSI, which I am told prevents her from working, having any money or property, etc. Also she is incapable of handling money due to her illness.

The other adult child is a herion addict.

Is there any way I can fight this when the will is read, due to the above?

Thanks

Re: Can will be disputed?

A will can be disputed, but not based on the reasons you have stated. Your mother knew of her children's faults, and chose to leave them her property anyway.
