Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

my will

I want to leave a will and be sure a certain sister receives only a dollar. My granddaughter is in the process of buying my house via monthly payments although we have no legal contract. The house is paid. I want to be sure she doesnt lose the house after I pass.If we dont do anything legally and I pass would the certain siater be able to contest the will and make my granddaughter lose the house?

Re: my will

Don't leave your sister anything. Specifically exclude her by name. Your executor will never get a receipt for the dollar.

As for your grandaughter, transfer bthe property with a reservation to revoke the transfer.

This will remove the property from your assets for Medicaid purposes but preserve the stepped up value for your heir.

You can change it at any time before your death.
