Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Will

My mother passed away recently and left her money in a trust for my handicapped sister, to be managed by another sister. When my handicapped sister passes away, what is left in the trust is to be split between the sister in charge of the trust and myself. I would like to know how much money is in the trust and be updated periodically of its' worth. Am I entitled to that information?

Re: Will

As the residual beneficiary, you have a right to know what is happening with the trust. I suggest politely asking the Trustee to periodically report to you, on investments, income and expenses. I have several clients in similar situations, and the trustees involved send semi-annual reports.
