Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York
SHOULD a will be notarized in New York? I know that a self-proving affidavit gets notarized and is an excellent document to supplement a will, but should the notary not notarize the will as well? Is it actually bad, or contrary to the law to have the will notarized in addition to the self-proving affidavit?

Not necessary. Statute requires minimum of two witnesses.
