Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

If my will does not have to be probated is it necessary in the State of New York for the Executor to file the will with the Court or take any other legal action?

Presuming there is nothing that requires an Executor to be appointed, the Executor needs to do nothing and there needs to be no probate. But, be sure before you advise your Executor to do nothing, that nothing is actaully required.
