Re: wills

If she can remember, ask if it is in the house, a safe deposit box or with a lawyer. Wills are not usually recorded anywhere before one passes away. Does she have a Power of Attorney allowing someone to handle her affairs and assets? If not, and she has good days, have her sign one, so someone can put her house in order. Worst case scenario: you cannot find the Will, her estate goes through administration (probate without a Will and slightly more expensive), and her heirs share equally.
