Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

wills, and paying for funeral

Dad has about 5,ooo in a bank account. I'm dad oldest

daughter, and executrix of dad will. I also have a durable

power of attorney. Know that dad passed, his bank account

is frozen, how do I get the money to pay for dad funeral

being his money is in his savings account. I had the bank

account frozen being dad passed.

Petition the Surrogates Court for an order to pay the funeral expense pending probate. Suggest you speak with the court clerk personally.
