if a person's excutor has a copy of that single person's will, and his eldest son wants a copy of the will, and the person does not want his son to have a copy while he is alive, is he entitled to a copy of his fathers will

Tony is correct. This is especially so since as long as the person is not incapacitated, a Will may be changed at any time prior to death, so what it contains today can be changed tomorrow.

No, generally no one is legally entitled to a copy of a perons's will while that person is alive.
