Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York
employee checking up on you
Can an employee come to your home, (at 7pm) to check on you while you are on workers comp in NY. I was once attached by a fellow employee (at another job) many years ago and this makes me very uncomfortable. I am A single mother and it is a newly hired male employee that came to my home. He is our new supervisor.
The nature of my injury is that I fell down the stairs at work and sprained my right knee and left ankle. I am on workers comp for 1 month and physical therapy 3tx a week.
Also I do need to do all my own errands. Wether this is painful or not.

Re: employee checking up on you
There is no workers compensation law that permits or prohibits a supervisor or a representative of a company check on an injured worker. You may want to tell your supervisor that you do not appreciate 7PM visits. You should concentrate on your recovery and not worry about unwanted visitors.
